My Story

Since you’ve landed here, I’d love to share a little of my story with you.

My name is Edith, and I’m the founder of Yoko Fashion, an Australian label specialising in scarves and shawls made from beautiful Australian Merino wool.

Originally, I come from Switzerland. In the 1980s I lived in Australia with my husband and our two young sons, and it was during that time that I fell in love with Byron Bay. Something about the light, the ocean and the relaxed elegance of the lifestyle stayed with me for many years. In 2011, when my children were grown, I finally followed my heart and made Byron Bay my home.

Yoko Fashion grew from my wish to bring together the best of both worlds I love, Swiss quality and timeless design, and the natural ease and beauty of Byron Bay living. Since launching in 2014, I now spend six months each year in Byron Bay and the other six months in beautiful Luzern, Switzerland with my husband. Living between these two places continues to inspire everything I create.

Each Yoko Fashion scarf and shawl is thoughtfully designed using fine Australian Merino wool—soft, breathable and comfortable across the seasons. I choose natural fibres because they feel beautiful to wear and become lasting pieces in your wardrobe.

All designs are produced using AZO-free dyes and ethical manufacturing practices, and I work closely with international artisans to create a collection that feels elegant, versatile and accessible.

For me, Yoko Fashion is about more than scarves.
It’s about everyday beauty, confidence, and feeling effortlessly elegant wherever life takes you.
